How to take part in a clinical trial

  1. Talk with your cancer team. Share the trial ID or link and ask how the trial fits with your treatment options.
  2. Contact the study team. Ask whether the hospital is still recruiting and how it checks eligibility. Ask how to share medical information securely if they need it.
  3. Ask what taking part involves. Find out about visits, tests, possible benefits and risks, costs and travel. The team should explain the study before asking for your consent. Taking part is voluntary.
