Scope of this policy
This policy concerns the CTI information website. It does not replace the privacy notices or clinical-record policies of hospitals, treating providers or external services.
The website has no patient account registration, enquiry submission form, payment facility or medical-record upload facility. CTI does not use advertising analytics or remarketing on this website.
Browsing, search and technical information
The website’s search and directory filters match your query against information loaded into your browser. There is no AI service receiving queries to generate answers.
A search term may appear in the page address, browser history or a link you share. Requests for pages may also be recorded by the hosting provider, including the requested address, IP address, access time and browser information. Do not enter names, contact details or personal medical information into search boxes.
Your searches stay in your browser. We store your analytics preference locally for up to six months. Optional analytics cookies are described below; external services may use their own cookies.
Optional visit analytics
If you choose Allow analytics, this website uses Google Analytics to understand visit totals and how people find CTI, including referrals from AI search services. Choosing No thanks leaves these analytics off. You can change your choice using Analytics preferences in the footer.
Analytics receives a broad page category, such as cancer information or patient resources, rather than the particular cancer or medicine page address. We do not send search terms, calculator entries, names, medical records, message content or URL query strings to Analytics. Recognised search and AI referral domains may be included, without the referring page address. Some AI visits cannot be identified because the referring service does not supply a referral.
After consent, Google receives technical visit information and uses cookies to distinguish visits. We set analytics cookies to expire after 30 days without renewing that expiry on each visit. Advertising personalisation, Google Signals and automatic form, search and outbound-click measurement are disabled. Declining later stops future measurement and removes the website’s Analytics cookies; it does not erase information already processed by Google.
How Google uses information from sites that use its servicesGoogle Maps and external websites
Some location pages load embedded Google Maps. When a map loads, your browser connects to Google, which may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details and may use cookies or similar technology under its own policies.
Directions links and links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy terms. CTI does not control those services. Your browser and service account settings may offer privacy controls; blocking third-party content may affect map features.
Google Privacy PolicyCalling or messaging CTI
Call and WhatsApp links open your phone or an external messaging service. If you contact CTI, your telephone number or profile details and the information you choose to provide may be visible to the receiving care-coordination team and processed through the relevant service.
For an initial appointment enquiry, share only what is needed to arrange contact. Ask the team how to provide reports or sensitive documents. If acting for someone else, make sure you have their permission or appropriate authority to share their information.
Clinical care, hospital records and any onward coordination require their own applicable arrangements. Website browsing alone does not authorise unrestricted use or sharing of your medical information.
WhatsApp Privacy PolicyAI and personal information
AI has assisted in preparing website content, as explained in the AI Policy. This website does not offer a patient-facing AI consultation or medical-record analysis service.
This policy does not treat sending an enquiry as permission to use identifiable patient information to train AI. Ask the care team for information about any proposed use of your records and the safeguards that apply.
AI PolicyRecords, security and your requests
Retention of technical logs, messages and clinical records depends on the service holding them, the purpose of the record and applicable requirements. There is no single retention period covering all these different services. Contact CTI for information about records held by its team; contact the relevant hospital or external provider about records it holds.
You can contact CTI to raise a privacy concern or ask about access, correction or deletion of information you have provided. The response will depend on who holds the information, verification of your identity and any applicable record-keeping obligations. Deleting a message on your device does not necessarily remove copies held elsewhere.
No website or communication channel can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through an initial enquiry.
Privacy questions and updates
For a privacy question, contact CTI and ask for the person responsible for handling privacy enquiries. Explain the service or interaction concerned without sending identity documents or detailed medical records in your initial message.
This notice should be read alongside the relevant external service’s policy. Its date identifies the latest revision; it will need to reflect any changes to website features or data handling.
