Downloading and printing for personal use
Patients and caregivers may download, save and print CTI charts and medicine (drug) information for personal, non-commercial use, without asking us first. This includes information about individual medicines and treatment regimens, as well as blank charts and your completed caregiver records.
You may use these copies for your own care or the care of someone you support, and share them with the family members, caregivers and healthcare professionals involved in that person's care.
Use the download or print options where provided. For a medicine information page, you can use your browser's Print option to print a copy or save it as a PDF where supported.
Keep the CTI name, page title, credits and safety information with the copy. You can fill in charts as intended and add your own notes, but keep those notes distinct from CTI's guidance. Do not change medicine instructions or present an edited guide as CTI-approved. Website information can change, so return to the page for the current version when needed.
This permission covers CTI material; any separate restrictions shown for third-party material still apply. Keep completed records private and share someone else's personal information only with their permission or appropriate authority. The Privacy Policy explains saved records and backups.
Sharing a link
You may share links to CTI pages without asking permission. Linking helps people reach the current information. A shared link must not suggest that CTI endorses a product, organisation or service when it does not.
Ownership and third-party material
The website includes CTI material and material used under third-party licences or permissions. Copyright, where it applies, and other rights remain with the relevant owners. A reference or citation does not transfer ownership or grant permission to reproduce the source.
Photographs, diagrams, logos, linked publications and other credited material may have their own terms. CTI cannot grant rights it does not hold. Medical review or the use of artificial intelligence (AI) does not establish ownership or permission to reuse material.
Names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Do not remove credits or use CTI branding to imply an endorsement. The personal information you enter in a chart does not become CTI's property.
When to ask for permission
For uses beyond the personal permission above, please ask before reproducing CTI material in a publication, website, app, course or publicly distributed resource; adapting or translating it; or using it for commercial or promotional purposes.
A use already permitted by applicable law or by the material's own licence does not require additional permission under this policy. Nothing here restricts those rights. If you are unsure, contact us with the material and intended use.
Using CTI content with AI
CTI does not permit its protected content to be used as source material for artificial intelligence (AI)-generated content without prior written permission. This includes asking an AI tool to recreate, rewrite, summarise, translate or adapt our articles, medicine guides, charts, illustrations or other protected material.
Do not paste or upload that material into an AI tool, or direct a tool to retrieve it from our website for these purposes. This restriction also covers collecting our content to train or fine-tune AI models, or adding it to an AI knowledge base that generates answers or other material. It applies to commercial and non-commercial use; giving CTI credit does not replace permission.
You may still download and print copies for the personal uses described above. This restriction concerns rights in our protected material, not ownership of medical facts or of the personal information you enter in a chart. Uses permitted by applicable law or a separate licence remain unaffected.
To request an AI-related use, contact us for written permission and explain the material, tool and intended output. Our AI Policy separately explains how CTI uses AI assistance under human oversight.
Requesting permission
Contact CTI and include the page link, the text or image you want to use, where it will appear, whether it will be changed or translated, and whether it will be sold or used commercially. Please also provide a way for us to reply.
We will check the relevant rights and let you know whether CTI can grant permission or whether you need to approach another rights holder. Where permission is required, wait for written confirmation and follow any agreed conditions.
Copyright questions and concerns
If you believe material on this website has been used without the necessary permission, please contact CTI with the page link, the material concerned and an explanation of your rights or authority to act for the rights holder. We will review the concern and consider the appropriate correction, credit or removal.
This policy forms part of our Terms of Use. The related policies below explain privacy, medical information, content review and AI use.
